Work-Life Balance

If you select a vocation like a real estate agent, which necessitates early mornings, late nights and weekends, and continual hustle, understanding how to achieve a healthy work-life balance is essential. There are only 24 hours in a day, leaving us with just 1,000 useable minutes after deducting eight hours for sleep.

How am I supposed to balance my family, friends, work, and hobbies in such a short period of time? These are the four guidelines for work-life balance that help me balance everything.

Work-Life Balance Rule: Morning Routines Are Non-Negotiable

If I don't perform my morning ritual, I don't feel like myself. To focus my mind and body for the next day, I need to do my daily meditation and take a cold shower. I now start each day by doing meditation. Setting the alarm an hour earlier than usual may be necessary. It can include a time of adjustment where you blame yourself for rising so early and hate the sound of the alarm.

However, it ultimately implies that I follow my routine despite any challenges. And I give it a priority because I know I need it in order to perform at my best.

Work-Life Balance Rule: I Keep Posted on My Workday

After a long day at work, I don't want to have the clichéd "How was your day, babe?" conversation when I get home. That is the most time-wasting activity there is! Instead, I add her to my calendar invitations and CC her on emails to keep her informed throughout the day.

This keeps her informed about the important happenings in my day and lets her know when I'm showing houses or filming real estate and won't be able to return her call straight away. This allows us to have more in-depth conversations.

Work-Life Balance Rule: I Audit My Time Each Day

Auditing your time is increasingly crucial the more jobs you have on your plate. Keep track of the amount of time you devote to each area of your life, and look for areas where you may make improvements.

If you need to "borrow" two hours from your weekend block that you set aside for work to go watch a Friday night movie with your spouse, do so. Delegate your house-seeing for Saturday so you can be home for brunch if you work late on Wednesday and won't be able to make dinner. It's critical to understand how to balance your obligations in both work and life by adjusting your weekly schedule as necessary.

Work-Life Balance Rule: I Invest In Things That Save Me Time

You're unaware of the fact that I started splitting my commissions in order to enlist the help of other brokers to inspect the property on my behalf. Why did I gamble on that? I could save time as a result. I was able to be more productive, see more customers, and make more money because of this long-term investment in my future.

If you know that anything "extra" will help you go to the next level of achievement, don't be scared to pay for it.
