5 Successful Concept To Apply For Agents Feeling Stuck In A Rut

We all have that moment when failure hits and negativity just cloud your mind. Whether you're having issues with prospecting, sales, or just simply time management. Failure is unavoidable and you should prepare for it.

You're already on the correct track if you're hungry for success but it's escaping you. All you have to do now is keep going. What top performers do is their determination to keep striving and pushing through failures at any cost.

The Right Mentality Into The Game

"The mind is its own place, and in itself can make a heaven of hell, a hell of heaven" - John Milton

Each and every agent needs to be resourceful to support and grow their own business. Cashflow, credit, listings, software, hardware, a vehicle, and insurance are the tools you will need to rely on to operate your day-to-day business.

A key takeaway is that circumstances will inevitably change similar to seasons. The market will never remain in its optimal position for both buyers and sellers. There will be corrections in the market and it doesn't mean there won't be opportunities for you to hunt.

What really matters in this business is the right mentality. The game isn't based on sympathy and you gotta be ruthless in the game of life. Bite every opportunity that is presented to you and held your head high.

5 Successful Principles To Consider

We're only as good as we can be. Hence, be better than you were yesterday. No comparison or competition with peers but yourself.

1) Be Resourceful

When your resources run out, it's time to be imaginative. If you tried cold-calling for listings and prospecting and that doesn't help you get enough listings to be put in your stock, it's time to be resourceful and find alternatives.

You don't have to reinvent the wheels. Evaluate your work and find out the issues. Maybe the script that you've given isn't as productive as it seems to be. Could it be that while you are prospecting a client, there isn't much negotiation knowledge at your end?

"Give me 6 hours to chop down a tree and I'll spend the first 4 hours sharpening the axe" - Abraham Lincoln

Evaluate your productiveness as well. You can be allocated 2 hours in cold-calling if that's working well for you before you practice role-play or writing a script for 1 hour.

2) Overcome Challenges with Enthusiasm

Top performers are confident though there are not enough leads on their plate for a simple reason that they could be doing is to keep improving themselves. Brand yourself as a problem solver, not just a real estate agent. Everyone knows "WHAT" they do but few know "WHY" they do what they do.

 3) Fail To Plan, Plan To Fail

It's mind-boggling that one study found that 14% who have goals are 10X more successful than those without any. Imagine yourself having to have goal-setting, legitimate goals such as listing appointments, cold-calling, and the number of listings in a month. Being a real estate agent is about more freedom, more time, and more money but those aren't goals. Those are illusions that one display when one does not know what a true real estate agent does.

4) Give Compliments and You Will Receive Compliments

Help out your local community, and spread the news about the upcoming store that just pops out in your area. Give and you will reap the rewards. Find unique local products and places to review.

By supporting your local geographical area, you are keener to know more about the particular surrounding and add value to the proposition. Business owners or like-minded people will reciprocate with referrals.

5) Winners Never Quit

Fun fact: The highest attrition rate of any industry is the real estate agent industry where the failure rate is 80%. Rather than quitting and finding a new job to work, real estate agents should be renewing their confidence and commitment to the business because real estate agents are business owners.

Roll with the punches and amazing things will happen. You tend to focus on the things you can change and eventually circumstances will change in your favor as well. That's the law of attraction.

Conclusion

New real estate agents have a high failure rate but you don't have those statistics. That's absurd and guess what, the moment you got your feet back, you'll be in a place where a vast majority of real estate agents couldn't.

The air is much thinner at the top of Mount Kinabalu. It takes a ton of energy to reach the hilltop and as I write this, I'm building a sense of perseverance in myself, and let's meet each other at the top. Remember that failure is one step away from success.

Build your real estate business on solid success principles, and unleash your true potential.
